We’re very excited to be attending the Dunster Show this Friday (August 16).
We will be hosting children’s Christmas tree decoration activities to raise funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).
This will be our second time at the agricultural show and we’re really looking forward to it – we had a great time last year.
Children who visit our stand will be able to create a Christmas tree decoration from fabric swatches, glue and polystyrene balls.
We’re also going to take along one of our Christmas trees and one of our handmade wreaths for people to see. We will be on hand to explain what we get up to on the plantation throughout the year and what it takes to grow and maintain a Christmas tree.
People will also be able to see some of the tools we use to help us look after the trees. We’re looking forward to meeting new and existing customers and explaining the benefits of going for a real tree this Christmas.
Dunster Show is the premier agricultural show in West Somerset. It takes place on the lawns below Dunster Castle and the dramatic backdrop is a perfect setting for a family day out with bands, demonstrations, crafts and trades stands.
The show also boasts a competitive showing atmosphere with a wide range of classes for horses, cattle and sheep attracting competitors from all over the country.
CHSW is currently the only provider of specialist hospice care for children in the region. It offers much needed support for youngsters with a life-limiting or life-threatening condition and their families at its three hospices: Charlton Farm in North Somerset, Little Bridge House in North Devon and Little Harbour in Cornwall.
