There’s still time to design a charity Christmas card

We’re reminding children in Somerset that there’s still time to enter our Christmas card competition to help raise funds for charity.

Youngsters aged 11-years-old and under can still enterthe competition and the winning entries will be made and sold in aid of Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW).

We’re asking children to come up with an eye-catching festive Christmas card design, which incorporates everything they love about Christmas.

We will then choose one winner and three runners up who will all have their cards made and sold to raise money for CHSW. The winner will also receive one of our home-grown Christmas trees. Entries can be hand-drawn or computer generated and can be in colour or black and white. All we ask is that there is a festive theme.

Entries can be emailed to info@langfordlakes.co.uk or posted to Nick Hendy, Langford Lakes ChristmasTree Farm, Middle Hill Farm, Langford Budville, Somerset, TA21 0RS before 5pm on Friday, November 2, 2018.

All entries must be accompanied with the child’s full name, age, school and contact details. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

CHSW is currently the only provider of specialist hospice care for children in the region. It offers much needed support for youngsters with a life-limiting orlife-threatening condition and their families at its three hospices: Charlton Farm in North Somerset, Little Bridge House in North Devon and Little Harbour in Cornwall.

Wendy Pollard, Chair of the Wellington Friends Group of CHSW, said: “Thanks again to Langford Lakes for helping us raise awareness and funds for our three hospices. We hope lots of children in the county take part and send in their festive designs. We can’t wait to see the winning cards printed in November.”
