Two Blackdown Explorer Scouts will be visiting our Christmas tree farm on Saturday, December 8 to host a tombola and a cake stand to raise funds for a forthcoming trip to Kenya.

Andrew Hyman from Hemyock and Bethany Garrett from Rockwell Green, who are both young leaders with the 1st Wellington Cub Pack and also with the Apache Explorer Scouts in Wellington, need to raise £2,000 each to visit two orphanages in Kenya.

The trip will take place from August 3 until 13, 2019 and Bethany and Andrew, who are both 17-years-old, will be splitting their time between two orphanages to teach and also help maintain the schools.

We’re delighted to be able to help them raise funds for their trip and wish them the best of luck. We look forward to hearing all about it. Please pop along on Saturday,December 8 to help the duo with their fundraising.
